Nov 20/2011, Our Backyard Grapes are ready

We have grape vines in our yard and every year, they produce many many grapes. This year, they froze on the vine since we had a cold spell. Mommy went to pick them, and DiDi and I got to wash, squish, cook and make grape juice. We're making grape jelly!

We spent all day at it. Daddy helped crush the grapes, but I liked using the food processor. DiDi just got tired. We made 18 cups of pure juice. The recipe calls for 1 cup of sugar for each cup of liquid. That's going to be soooo sweet. I can't wait to bring some to school!

Nov 11/2011, Mommy and Daddy's Hawaii trip for Dean's wedding

Mommy and Daddy made a quick weekend trip to Hawaii for Uncle Dean and Auntie Brie's wedding! I want to go someplace warm too!

Different Generations

One morning, we went to the Apple store. The people in the background were having a tutorial on iPad use. Mommy thought this picture was funny. DiDi and I have no problem using the iDevices. Also, this pictures was taken with an iphone. Great quality!

It's Time to Trick-or-Treat!

We went out to the neighbours' houses before the sun set. Everyone on the block decorated their house to the nines. We trick-or-treated for 5 houses. Then, we went home to hand out candy! I'm so excited! We gave out 700 pieces this year. Take a look at the crowds in our neighbourhood. Auntie Fiona and Lauryn came over to help us with the door. PorPor helped us take pictures and hand out candy.

Daddy did a great job in carving Thomas and Ariel. Mommy did the skull/monkey.

Preparing the House

Mommy loves decorating our front yard for the trick-or-treaters. We had giant pumpkin and ghost bags. They're full of leaves! We had a table of skulls and bones for the kids. Mommy said that they loooked great for being styrofoam. DiDi even tried to saw them. Rubber chicken is courtesy of AMS, according to Daddy.

It was cold, so I went as a princess alligator. You can't take away my tutu!

DiDi was NOT happy to dress up. He wanted Thomas the Train, but only to be the conductor. So, he was willing to wear his cap. That's it!

Our house is ready!

Preschool Halloween party!

We had a great party at preschool. No uniforms today, just costumes. I wore my Belle dress. We made scary Hallowe'en houses all last week and now, they're on display. Here is mine.

My teachers were dressed as a bat and this crazy squirrel with the ridiculously large tail.

DiDi still has allergies

Poor guy. This is what happened to his lips after tasting some salted nuts that were sprinkled on top of a chocolate snack. Mommy had to give him Benedryl right away and watch him for a few hours. The swelling happened within minutes! We hope he's not allergic to peanuts.

He eats Macadamian nuts with no problems. We won't be trying peanuts again until the allergist doctor tests him again.

Fall 2011 in here

We went to the Richmond farms again to hunt for pumpkins. We saw all sorts of strangely shaped vegetables. DiDi was happy to see chickens wandering the grounds. It was very crowded the weekend before Hallowe'en!
