Sunshine!

There is finally sunshine in Vancouver. PorPor takes me out regularly for stroller walks. I usually fall asleep very quickly.

Otherwise, I can be entertained playing with my 3 buddies or at the community center.

By the way, my second tooth arrived. Right next to the first one. I'll soon be able to chew on more than Cheerios!

Whistler in the Winter

What is a Vancouverite supposed to do during the grey, rainy winter?

Go to Whistler!

Mommy had a meeting there this Valentine's Day weekend. So up we went. MaMa and YehYeh provided my babysitting and sherpa-ing while my parents went out at night. I'm told that the slopes were in perfect condition.

It was their first time to Whistler, ever. Here I am... on the slopes at 9 months. Next year, I want to try on a pair of skis.

Despite my newfound ability to pull up, I couldn't climb out of the hotel crib! Mommy caught me in this photo trying to break out at 6am. Am I in a cage?? Boy, was I upset. How can the parents be sleeping when I'm around? I can see you! Pick me up and entertain me!

9 months old and I cut a tooth!

I'm 9 months old and I weigh 18.5 lbs. But, even better....guess what was found this morning? My first tooth! It's white ridges are just peeking out above my lower gum line.

I was quite cranky on the weekend and not happy to settle in anyone's arms except Mommy's. Nevermind that I wouldn't nap, drooled profusely, stuck out my tongue repeatedly and gnawed on my crib and music box. My parents thought I was overtired from Chinese New Year festivities. Daddy even taught me how to climb up the stairs because he thought I was bored watching Hockey Day in Canada.

So pardon me while I walk to the freezer and get my own chilled face cloth to chew on. Sorry Daddy, I can't reach the beer yet so you'll have to get it yourself.

Here I am, standing by Cousin Annabelle's amazing learning table. I can pull up and stand next to it while pressing all it's buttons.

Darn it! Down I go.... still wobbly. Thanks for the help, GongGong.

February 7, 2008 - Chinese New Year

It's the Year of the Rat. Gong Hay Fat Choy!

We went to MaMa and YehYeh's house for dinner. I received a lot of these lai see envelopes! I'm told that I should hold onto these tightly.

Silly parents, don't they know that I like to squirm out of my fancy clothes? Here I am in my Carter's shirt. Much more casual.

We found this big picture of Daddy. Doesn't he look like me?

I'm not standing by myself yet... Auntie Ronnie is helping me here. But, I can certainly pull up to standing in my crib. Again, all the better to beckon for my sherpas.
