Feb 14/10, Happy Valentine's Day, Chinese New Year and the 2010 Winter Olympics

Today was a busy day. Not only was it Valentine's Day, it was also Chinese New Year (Year of the Tiger) and the 2010 Winter Olympics.

We had tickets to Ladies 3000m long track skating at the Richmond Oval. It was a gorgeous day. In fact, it was so warm, we could take off our jackets. Take a look at the line-up into the skating oval. I munched on pasta and sample packs of Ocean Spray craisins while we waited. I love the free product giveaways.

Congratulations to Kristina Groves for BRONZE in Ladies 3000m Long Track!

Feb 13/10, Women's Hockey: Canada vs Slovakia

It was the Slovakian Women's Hockey team's first year in the Olympics . Good try, good effort. Final score = 18-0, Canada! I cheered and cheered so much that my voice was hoarse the next day. Go Canada, Go!

Teeny Tiny Dancer - A Break from the Olympics

I signed up for ballerina class. While I really like the pink tutu, I have a short attention span and don't listen to the teacher for long. I have a couple of friends in this class, with whom I partner up. We met in our other "centre" classes. Mommy sits in the audience and Daddy stays at home with DiDi.

2010 Winter Olympics, Opening Ceremonies

Mommy made a movie with all her opening ceremony photos. Look!

Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, Opening Ceremonies, BC Stadium

It was quite the crowd to get there.

Feb 12/10, Celebrating the Opening Ceremonies at the Centre

It's a neighbourhood block party at the community centre. Today, we had juice, cake, medals, face painting and flags. PorPor joined Mommy and I there. DiDi was fast asleep at home. PorPor had gone to the Olympic LiveCity in Yaletown yesterday night and was going to watch the Opening Ceremonies on TV with us tonight. Mommy and Daddy went to the actual opening. Exciting!

Feb 11/10, The Olympic Torch Goes By Our Neighbourhood

Vancouver is hosting the 21st Winter Olympics. We're watching the torch relay. It was raining and so it was a treat to duck into Uncle Dean's apartment to watch the torch go by. We're painting the town RED!
