Dec 2010, Happy Birthday Mommy!

I made you a super tall play birthday cake! Happy Birthday, Mommy! DiDi couldn't have any of the cake because of the dairy in the icing. Daddy very carefully scraped off any icing he could for DiDi's cake portion. I got all of it on my plate! We let Mommy sleep in and Daddy put us to bed that day.

Nov 22, 2010 - First Snow in Vancouver

It snowed in Vancouver at the end of November! Crazy!

"Travelling Light", our Mommy's style

This is how we travelled for the long Remembrance Day weekend jaunt to Phoenix and Portland. Hee, hee... we take after Mommy. They already lost 1 piece of our luggage....never saw in the US.

Visiting Uncle T and Auntie J!

Hurray! We arrived in Portland! I apparently fell asleep on the subway over to Uncle T and Auntie J's place. DiDi had a field day while I was asleep. Quincy Cat and Achilles were ready to play. He had a great time toddling after them. He just wanted to pet them, like he does our backyard cat, Mr. Stephen Francis.

Please stop poking me in the nose while I sleep.

We ended the night with a great dinner and dessert! Thank you Uncle T and Auntie J for taking us to dinner! It was so great to visit you!

Flying to Portland

We're leaving on a jet plane again. This time, a quick trip to visit Uncle T, Auntie J and Quincy Cat and Achilles. DiDi is so well behaved. He's reading with Daddy.

Exhausted

We were so excited each day. We didn't want to go for naps or to bed any night. Mommy gave up trying to put us to bed at any reasonable time. She found us sleeping on the floor one afternoon after she had been primping in the bathroom. We went to bed each night at 11pm!

We got to play with lots of arts and craps at night when Daddy went out for dinner meetings. Mommy did a lot of shopping at the nearby Michael's and Tar-jay. Pompoms, markers, glue and lots of bath toys. We are set! Mommy had delectable microwave Trader Joe dinners, wine and cheese with our in-room pasta, chicken and veggies. It's picnic'ing! See how neat I keep things?

We jumped on the beds a lot. Whee!!

November 11/10 - Leaving on a Jet Plane to Phoenix!

We get to go on a plane! Mommy vowed to not bring the kids on a flight again after my trip to Australia as a 6 month old. I guess we're better now that we're older. Daddy had a conference in Phoenix and we got to go. We flew with Mommy since Daddy went first. A 2.5hour flight isn't bad right?

Here we are: enjoying business class! Mommy spent the whole 2 hours trying to keep us happy and quiet. We were nicely entertained by all the buttons on the console, the other passengers and Mommy's secret bag of books, crayons, paints, snacks and puzzles.

After manouevring with 2 kids, 2 car seats, 1 double stroller, 1 rolling luggage and a couple of backpacks to the rental car desk via shuttle bus, we made it to the resort! Mommy even hit the In 'n Out Burger drive thru at 10pm. Nice pool! We can't wait to jump in!

This is where Rainbow Brite has brought all her colours. Murky Dismal is in Vancouver right now.

It's really quite cold in the desert in November, despite being south. The sun was warmest at noon. Once 2:30pm rolled around, the chill was in the air. Brr......

Bumming around the house

As usual, we outlast our parents. DiDi has a whole collection of broken CD players. They all start as working machines. DiDi just likes to press the buttons and jam in CD's randomly.
